A Calming Peace

Recently, I’ve been told that sometimes the discussions from my blogs seem to perfect. That in fact, I can’t possibly be as content as I appear to be. When I was first given this feedback, I was a little taken back. But then, I realized that this was what I asked for. To begin with, I am constantly asking for your feedback whether it be positive or negative. And as a writer, I’ve made a conscious decision to put my thoughts and experiences on the table so that people may relive or hear my story. With that being said, I am not offended by the comments. Actually, I am thankful to this person for reading the blog and having the boldness to speak their thoughts directly to the author. Not to mention, this person’s comments have led me to tonight’s blog; A Calming Peace. I’m not perfect, just at peace.

When I got saved two years ago, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. I had heard several testimonies of people receiving this undescribing peace in their lives. I didn’t believe it one bit. Well, now two years later, I know exactly what they mean. Since accepting GOD into my heart I have received this overwhelming peace. And yes, at times it is difficult to explain. But here goes; I have found peace in some of my most challenging situations because I’ve witnessed GOD’s favor over my life. In just a short time, HE has blessed me and so many others in ways, I could have never imagined. Yes, during those times, I’ve been frustrated and confused just like anyone else facing trials. But the difference lies in knowing that I am not in control of my circumstances (actually I am glad that I am not in control) but there is a loving Father who is. It provides me a beautiful peace, Now the Lord of peace himself gives you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all” (2 Thes 3: 16). I assume this is why my ideas and blogs tend to come off as ‘perfect.’

My point into tonight’s blog is that no my life is not perfect. But because of GOD’s grace and mercy, and the peace that HE has provided his children, I am able to endure most situations with an open mind; sometimes even a simile. GOD’s peace in me is what you witness; not the ideology of perfection. I pray that we all get to a point in our lives where peace exists even in the toughest times and it is not questioned; where the idea of ‘a happy Christian life’ is not questioned, but celebrated.

Where GOD lives, peace lives. Virtuous women, find HIS calming peace.

Smiling,

KPA
