Testimonies of Love

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I thought that it would be cute to enter my husband and I into the Cutest couple contest on the gospel station 104.1. Not so much because I believe that we’re the cutest couple, but more so because they are giving away a dinner prize at one of my favorite restaurants, Phillips! To compete, we had to provide a picture of just the two of us and write a short story about our relationship. Well today I visited the site and could not believe my eyes. We were up against 129 couples! And some of those couples, I have seen or met before! Anxiously, I began to go through some of the personal love stories of my competitors and became filled with great joy! From the youngest of couples to those who have been married for 30+ years, God has proven once again that strong marriages do exist when He is at the wheel! “Marriage is honorable in all,” (Heb 13:4).

I’m going to keep this post pretty short tonight because I am requesting that all of my readers go to the link provided and read some of the beautiful testimonies of couples who happen to be Black! Whether you’re single and praying for God to send you that special someone, or married and trying to relight the spark, please know that a loving marriage filled with the holy spirit is and will always be possible through Him. Contrary to what the world says, marriages do last and love and can remain until death.“Charity never faileth, “(1 Cor 13:8). I pray that their stories inspire you just like they did me! And yes, please feel free to vote J

Truly Inspired by God’s Lov,

  1. I finally found the time to join the blog tonight!!! I will most definitely check out the contest entries. I maybe a little bias but I am quite sure I know who I will be voting for. You are a beautiful couple and may your love and marriage continue to grow stronger and stronger everyday.
