A Virtuous Woman Understands The Origin Of Love

So its been a long two weeks of no words, no LOV. I must first apologize to all my readers. I also thank you for your continuous encouragement of the Blog. From here on out, I will make every effort to ensure that LOV will feature a new blog every Tuesday night at 8pm. I will do what I can to feature this on my facebook, but also know that you can become a follower at anytime! Now, lets get down to business!

It seems that everywhere I turn, the term love comes up. It's no coincidence that it's also part of what inspired me to write this blog! Whether its on facebook, blogs, magazines, conversations with friends, or family, it has become apart of life. For the most part, many people are striving to find love or understand its meaning.

Its crazy how some people obsess over finding eternal love (been there before). For some, I'd go as far as saying, finding love could be compared to an addict finding drugs. And until they get their fix, it is all they think about. During the time when I was obsessing, I was searching for love in the wrong people and things. Is this the case with you?

But a virtuous woman understands the importance of comprehending and accepting GOD's love first, before committing love to others, " I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me,(Pro 8:17). Its just that simple. GOD'S love is eternal and ever lasting. It never has to be questioned. Okay, lets stop and take a second to just think...think about every person that you've ever loved or thought you loved, whether it be a friend, family member, or significant other. Think about all of the good times when you cared for them so much, that you knew for sure it was nothing but love. And you're next words to them were, "I love you." But unexpectedly, they hurt you. Hurt you so bad, that you cried for days, refused to answer their phones calls, and made up in your mind that no matter what you would never forgive. Now, think of the opposite. A nurturer, a friend, a lover, a protector, a rescuer, a person that has always shielded your heart. A perfect being. More significantly, a being who has already given His life for you...You've just thought of the Creator of Love-GOD!

In no way am I suggesting that those we love won't hurt us, or we won't hurt them. I would be foolish to consider that. However, doesn't it makes sense to start taking lessons from the Creator of love before we begin dishing out our love ?

I have truly learned that until you understand GOD'S love, you will never really locate a sincere definition. And honestly, it is unfair to tell someone that you love them, if you don't know its origin. Its like you're lying to them. To be honest with you, it still didn't hit me until I had my two sons, Aj and, Isaiah. I knew that GOD loved me. But someone put it to me this way, "GOD loves you like you love your children." And for those of you who are mothers, you definitely understand. Most, if not all of us mothers, will die for our children. Makes sense huh? "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life, " (John 3:16).

I challenge all of us to truly think about what love is before we say, "I love you." Each and every time we utter the words, know that the love you feel for someone originates from the love that GOD has provided you, and that is TRUE LY SIGNIFICANT! More importantly, continue to meditate on love, GOD'S love.

I am a strong, virtuous woman, who understands and accepts GOD's love.
