LOV Celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, I wanted to acknowlege the many virtuous survivors of breast cancer and those still fighting the disease. In the last year, I have witnessed so many personal stories of women battling breast cancer. Many women have defeated their long battles, some still fighting daily, and many other's have gone to be with the Lord. To the families who have lost their loved ones... your family memebers are my heros. And to the women still fighting for their lives, virtuous ladies of LOV are always praying for you.
Learning about the many women that breast cancer affects, I began researching the internet to learn more. After finding Radha Chitale's, article, " 'Lightning Stirkes', When Young Girls, Get Breast Cancer," I was stunned to learn that while it is rare, women as young as 13-years-old can be diganosed with breast cancer. My heart sank. I couldn't fathom the idea that a 13-year-old woman could be diagnosed with the disease so early in her life, along with the many trials that lie ahead. No woman is exempt from this disease. Check out the rivativing article www. abcnews.go.com/Health/OnCallPlusBreastCancerNews.

As I continued reading the article, and others similar to it, I began to notice that most, if not all of the women, relied heavly on the support of their loved ones for encourgement. And more importantly, these virtuous women relied on the grace of GOD to see them thru. These women knew that by his faith and faith alone, their bodies would be healed either here on earth or in heaven with HIM. After months of intense chemo, loss of their hair, lost of their breasts, and often times loss of their self-respect, faith in GOD is their survival mechanism.
So many times, when we are on our last, and just feel like diving down into the pits of our emptiness, GOD shows up just in time to heal sadness, sickness, and loneliness. In every single situation, GOD restores our faith and provides us with the things we are longing "For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord" (Jer 30:17).

To all of the families who have lost virtuous women to breast cancer, you will forever be in my prayers. Only GOD can heal your longing hearts. My prayer is that you seek him daily. For those ladies still fighting; you are virtuous and strong. Continue your fight! GOD protects his angels. I urge ALL women to continue to do your monthly breast exams and educate yourselves about this disease. Happy Breast Cancer Awareness months Virtuous Ladies!
With Love,

KPA
