Tonight’s post is more of an informative one. I have recently mentioned ideas about changes occurring with blog, and I wanted to update you ladies about what’s been stirring in my brain.
For the last few months, I’ve had this brilliant idea of hosting a 75th blog party at my house. I wanted to have this party to show my appreciation to my readers for supporting the blog since the beginning, as well as invite new ladies to learn about LOV. The party was planned for the date of Oct. 22, 2011. However, I found that this date was not
a good one due to many of my potential guests being out of town, and participating in other events on this day. The remaining Saturday’s in the month were not good for me, for I had already committed myself to other family
engagements. And if you’re like me, the months of November thru December are just plain busy. Therefore, I’ve decided to host the blog party sometime in 2012, particularly near the release of the 100th post. I pray that when the official date is decided, you will all join me for an exciting and heartening event.
Another idea that has been stirring in my brain is to have what I am going to call our first “LOV field trip”. I am in the process of contacting different shelters in the Metropolitan area that host women of domestic violence, single moms, or simply a place for us ladies to be an encouragement to other ladies. In many of the previous blogs, we’ve discussed getting involved and being a blessing to others. Well, I am ready to, as the old country preacher says, “Let the rubber meet the road!” The question is how many of you will consider giving up your precious time to sit and encourage someone in need? Proverbs 31: 20 say, “She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.”
I am also working on updating the LOV site. For now, please find all blogs in the NOTES section of my Facebook.
I must admit that God has truly been speaking to my heart this week. There’s so much more that I can do for others, and I’m ready to start moving. If you have any ideas or questions about the future of the blog, please feel free to contact me. This is your blog just as much as it is mine!
Excited about LOV’s future,
KPA
